The first recipe for a Tom Collins was published in 1876. The drink dates back to at least 1869, supposedly named after a bartender/waiter in London by the same name. Now thats a pretty cool claim to fame, for Mr. Tom Collins.

  • 1 -1/2 Oz. Gin
  • 3/4 oz Lemon juice
  • Soda water
  • 2 tsp. Simple syrup
  • Garnish: 1/2 Lemon Wedge,1 Maraschino Cherry

How to make a Tom Collins

Ok so now that you know the ingredients…how do you make a classic Tom Collins? Its Pretty simple really, just follow these simple steps. Mix all the ingredient, except the soda water, in either a glass or cocktail shaker. Top up after with the soda water.
Perch the Lemon Slice on the glass, add a Maraschino Cherry Garnish! The garnish is what makes the signature Tom Collins. Add a maraschino cherry !
